The CBSE has recently announced the opening of applications for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023, as well as the renewal of the same for 2022 (Renewal 2023). Eligible candidates may apply for this merit-cum-means scholarship programme via the official website, starting from September 19, 2023, until October 18, 2023. Please note that the CBSE will not accept any offline submissions or physical copies of documents. The scholarship, which is worth Rs. 500 per month for two years, is awarded to single girl children studying in Class 11 and 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school. Payment will be made via ECS/NEFT. To be eligible for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship, applicants must have secured 60% or more marks in the CBSE Class 10 Examination and be studying in a CBSE-affiliated school for Class 11 and 12 where the tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- per month. In addition, the total increase in tuition fees in the next two years cannot exceed 10% of the tuition fee charged. NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the scholarship, with a maximum tuition fee of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
