The CBSE Board Exam 2024 is rapidly approaching, and many students are feeling the pressure. This stress often begins a year ahead of the actual exams, particularly in the 9th and 11th grades. However, the New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) is bringing significant changes to the way we learn, with the aim of improving education and reducing stress. We are preparing for these changes, which will revolutionize our learning experience. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is leading the charge in implementing crucial modifications to the examination process for the 10th and 12th board exams. Their goal is to reduce the stress experienced by students and shift the focus away from an over-reliance on coaching classes. The CBSE board exam 2024 is set to begin on February 15th, marking an important milestone in this transformative journey. The CBSE is introducing new question types such as case-based

and response-type questions. Case-based questions require students to analyze a given situation and apply their knowledge to solve a problem, while response-type questions require students to write a short answer to a question in their own words. In the CBSE 2024 board exams, 50% of questions in Class 10 will be competency or case-based questions, 20 percent will be response type, 20 percent MCQ questions, and 30 percent will be constructed response questions (short answer/long answer type questions). Similarly, in Class 12 board exams, 40% of questions will be competency or case-based questions, 20 percent will be response type, 20 percent MCQ questions, and 40 percent will be constructed response questions. To help students prepare for these changes, the CBSE has released sample papers for the Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2024. These sample papers give students an idea of the new exam pattern and marking scheme. Candidates will have to write answers to 15 to 35 questions in three hours. It is essential for students to carefully study the CBSE Sample Papers and prepare for the new exam pattern and marking scheme. Moreover, they should focus on developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to excel in the exams.
